Rio Damuji OPV (III)

Nuevas fotos indican la confirmación de que dos nuevas unidades estan procediendo a ser actualizadas para OPV, complementando al buque de numeral 390 en la marina de guerra revolucionaria cubana.


La primera imagen de satelite indica la presencia del OPV 390 mas un gemelo en el puerto de la Habana






Se le ve el proceso de modificación, incluyendo la plataforma para el cañon ZSU-57-2. Una tercera unidad esta realizando su modificación en la bahia de cienfuegos, en los astilleros de la carbonera.






Esto elevaria a tres el numero de futuras unidades de esta clase, dando una mejor interoperatividad para el patrullaje de de la Zona Economica Exclusiva cubana, permitiendo una mas que aceptable rotación entre unidades. Un mapa de la ZEE cubana con posibilidad de prosprecciones petroliferas y las ZEEs del carible.




Por tercera vez se vuelve a realizar una modificación en el form de dicha unidad, por ahora no cuento una supuesta cuarta unidad.

Concepto AFSB

El concepto AFSB o Afloat Forward Staging Base, traducido literalmente como base adelantada a Flote de puesta en escena, aunque yo lo llamo mas Base Adelantada a Flote de Operaciones Especiales, es un concepto por el que se le suministra a las fuerzas especiales de un buque con el que operar independientemente de recursos externos y dar apoyo soporte y movilidad a fuerzas especiales y helicópteros.


El proyecto original esgrime que dicho buque deberá tener una superficie de 304 metros de largo para el apoyo de helicópteros con dos elevadores de aparatos y uno de contenedores. Con una capacidad de 30 helicópteros y 1000 infantes distribuidos en 6 cubiertas. Un arma aérea de 12xUH-60 BlackHawk, 6xCh-47 Chinnok, 6xAH-64 Apaches y 6xAH-58 Kiowa Warriors y UAVs. Deberá disponer de capacidad de mantenimiento y FARP para el arma aérea.


Se estudiaron varios conceptos, como el diseño de un nuevo buque, el uso de un buque civil modificado, modificar un buque de pre posicionamiento LMSR o incluso la reconversión del CV-73 Kitty Hawk, pero todos los proyectos fueron abandonados a favor de una ultima opción. La conversión del  [USS Pounce] para dicho diseño.


Aunque el LPD-15 es mas pequeño que el requerimiento original, se ha tomado como buque de pruebas para probar el concepto. El buque quedaría con las siguientes características:

LCM-X

El LCM-X es una clase hipotetica basada en una evolución acorazada del LCM-1E, dicho LCM tiene un aire similar a los antiguos ATC [Armored Troop Carrier] de Vietnam. La base ha sido repotenciar los motores devido al aumento del desplazamiento, elevar  el puesto de control, cubrir la zona de carga, añadir blindaje y armamento. No me rijo por ningun projecto en activo.

LCM-1E LCM


El LCM-1E es el nuevo lanchon de desembarco construido por la compañia Navantia en sustitución de los antiguos LCM(8), el nuevo modelo mejora la velocidad, la autonomia, la capacidad de carga y la versatilidad. Navantia esta construyendo 14 unidades para la marina española, mientras, se ha firmado un contrato con Australia para suministrarle 14 unidades para sus nuevos buques anfibios.
