Buscando en el foro Secret Project he encontrado una foto muy interesante sobre un proyecto conceptual sobre un Crucero de Batalla Portahelicopteros tipo SWATH (small waterplane area twin hulls). Adjunto una foto para que podais hecharle un ojo.
Dicho pequeñin, del que por ahora no dispongo de datos, ni de tonelaje, sistemas o armamento, es posiblemente un buque dedicado a la defensa aerea y antisubmarino, posiblemente preparado para la proteccion de convoyes o como lider de un grupo ASW. Es muy interesante recalcar su posible alta velocidad y gran desplazamiento devido a su casco de forma de catamaran, lo que le da una gran estabilidad aun con tiempo malo, ideal para la ruta del atlantico norte.
Por lo que podemos sacar del diseño este esta equipado con cuatro radares AN/SPY-1 del sistema antiaereo AEGIS posiblemente en su version B o D, 4 iluminadores SPG-69 para los misiles antiaereos SM-1 o SM-2 standard, 5 grupos de celdas VLS en conjuntos de grupos de 16/32/32/32/16 unidades dandole una capacidad total de 128 misiles, tres sistemas CIWS de corta distancia en los costados y a la popa, y dos cañoses de 155mm a proa y popa del buque, no hay detalles sobre lanzaderas de misiles harpoon o torpedos.
Es interesante el detalle de la plataforma de aterrizaje con capacidad para dos o tres helicopteros medios tipo SH-60 Seahawk y cuatro puertas para hangares en la superestructura del buque, aunque esto ultimo no permita la construccion por diseño de un elevador para un hangar inferior es posible que el numero maximo de helicopteros transportados fuera de cuatro del modelo anteriormente citado.
Devido a que el buque es un catamaran, tengo la impresion de que dicho buque podria remolcar un sistema de sonar de baja o muy baja frecuencia, como los buques arastreros especializados de la que recorrian el atlantico y complementaban a la linea SOSUS.
La presencia de una fragata tipo O.H.Perry puede dar a entender el posible concepto de lider antisubmarino, ya que esta ultima es una buena plataforma antisubmarina y un complemento antiaereo para un convoy, aunque su capacidad de lucha antisuperficie sea limitada.
Un interesante escenario seria un CGH, uno o dos DD o DDG y tres o cuatro FFGs en proteccion de un convoy desplegando sus fuerzas como cobertura y con piquetes adelantados.
